Richard is CEO and Co-Founder of Popdeem, a social marketing platform that enables location-based brands to identify their most influential customers and reward them for sharing brand experiences on social networks.
Since graduating from Bachelor of Commerce in UCD in 2011, Richard has won several prestigious business awards including the national winner of the EY “Young Business Leaders of Tomorrow” competition and has recently featured in the Independent as one of Ireland’s “Top 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs”. Richard is also the lead designer at 100minds, a non-profit organisation that has raised over €500,000 for Irish children’s charities.
Backed by leading investors including Delta VC, Wayra and Enterprise Ireland, Richard has led the development of Popdeem which has built a network of customers internationally across Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Popdeem was born out of the founders’ frustration with existing social marketing tools for local businesses. Popdeem was established in 2012, and has a built network of customers across Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Popdeem works with restaurant brands, sports teams, entertainment brands and deal aggregators to help them win new customers through word of mouth marketing.
