Dan started his career as a copywriter and has only ever worked in start-ups.
He is co-founder and CEO of Techdept, a technology agency that specialises in acting as an outsourced innovation lab. Recent projects include bringing kids toys to life for John Lewis, and a new fundraising platform for BBC Children In Need. Techdept also partners with London’s leading creative agencies to make crazy ideas happen, and builds its own digital products.
In 2015 he was identified as one of the UK’s Digerati – 100 most influential people in UK digital. Techdept was named as an ‘elite’ agency in the 2015 Drum Digital Census.
Dan is a founder of The Marketing Technology Association, an active BAFTA member and speaks at international conferences including Cannes Lions. He writes about marketing tech at www.blog.techdept.co.uk and regularly in the press (eg The Guardian, The Times, Campaign, Elite Business).
