Ciara Kelly is an award-winning broadcaster and columnist. Ciara presents Newstalk Breakfast with Shane Coleman having previously presented Newstalk’s Lunchtime Live show for three years where she achieved the highest ever ratings in the lunchtime slot.
She qualified from UCD Medicine in 1997 and was a practicing doctor for twenty years. She also taught under grads and post-grad Doctors from both UCD and Trinity College for many years and was Assistant Director of GP training in UCD.
In her media career she was the medical expert on RTÉ's flagship health show Operation Transformation for seven series and also was a presenter on Body Shopping and Doctors on Call on RTÉ. She has presented The Tonight show and The Sunday Show on Virgin One and was the resident Doctor on TV3s The Morning show. She has also appeared on shows such as The Late Late Show, The Restaurant and Brendan O Connors The Cutting Edge on RTÉ and The Six O’Clock Show and Ireland AM on Virgin.
Internationally she has been a regular contributor to Euronews and also been on BBC Radio Fours Women’s hour.
