Gemma has spent the last 12 years in Global Commerce Leadership with experience client side, retail, and agencies cutting across the end-to-end eCommerce value chain in strategic channel planning and management. She has most recently has the role of VP of Global Commerce Transformation working within VMLY&R COMMERCE, WPP's end-to-end creative commerce company. She has worked as the Chief Commerce Officer at Omnicom Media Group where she founded Transact, an award winning global eCommerce advisory unit that at its core uses behavioural economics in it's platform to predict drivers of consumer selection & choice. The company’s services and techniques have helped numerous clients achieve considerable sales growth. Over the years Gemma has consulted with the largest FMCG, automotive, beauty brands, as well as running eCommerce operations in house for Philips.
Gemma was recently recognised as one of CIO Magazines 20 Businesswomen of 2021, Management Today’s 35 Women Under 35, a Mediatel’s Future Media Leader, and has helped shape many of the ecommerce standards and awards together with some of the industry’s biggest names. Gemma is a mentor, contributor and commentator for WARC, eMarketer & Econsultancy, is studying an EMBA at the University of Oxford
